2023 marks the 50th year of Economic Development between Australia & Vietnam

On 1 November 2021, Australia and Vietnam launched the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy (the Strategy), which supports our two countries’ joint ambition of becoming top ten trading partners and doubling two-way investment.

Vietnam has one of the fastest growing economies in the region, driven by export-oriented manufacturing, foreign direct investment and increasingly strong domestic demand.

Australian companies are well-received in Vietnam. Australian education, agriculture and food exports all have a strong reputation in Vietnam. More broadly, Australia is regarded as a modern, technologically advanced, and friendly country located within Vietnam’s immediate sphere of interest. Long-term trade and investment opportunities should increase in line with Vietnam’s progress in implementing its trade commitments and administrative reform program.

Join us with an exciting range of speakers and presenters while we celebrate the historic success of bi-lateral trade and look towards how we can grow the economic ties between Australia & Vietnam

  1. Pre-recorded introduction by Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam’ H.E. Mr. Andrew Goledzinowski
  2. Live presentation by Vietnam’s Ambassador to Australia, H.E. Mr. Nguyễn Tất Thành
  3. And a discussion panel including Brisbane Economic Development Agency’s CEO, Anthony Ryan and Trade & Investment Queensland CEO, Justin McGowan. Moderated by AVBC President Simon White
